An 18-point blowout loss to 3-6 (now 4-6) HOUSTON? Seriously?? Why are we playing our worst basketball now, against the worst opponents?? We can't hit a freaking free throw, we're turning the ball over, we can't crash the defensive boards at all, and now we've stopped playing defense... not at all what I expected from a Tim Floyd squad.
Some people are speculating that he runs them too hard in practice and wears them out for games, but that seems like a rookie mistake that Floyd and his staff would not make. Any thoughts, guys? I'm genuinely worried that this season is already over.

Good Question Bleed...
Can't be injuries because this funk seems to be affecting the whole team.
It could be a low team morale... That would explain Bo behaving erratically since he doesn't react well to losing.
What might cause low morale: The very tough schedule that didn't support the team's growth? Coach Floyd's inability to get his players to see his basketball point of view? Team dissention? Maybe the team doesn't have the parts needed to be succesful and they're overworked by Floyd to adapt??
I don't know... I can only tell you that my observations of this team is that I don't see a complete team and they're suffering because of it.
Streeter is NOT the point guard Utep has to have. He lacks aggressiveness. He doesn't create shots for others. Poor assist totals.
Defenses is breaking down recently?? Why are other teams suddenly running down courts before Miner's get back?? I can only notice this all started when Tucker got into the lineup.
In my opinion... We are breaking down because we don't have the necessary parts to compete. We need a Rivera (Eddie or Fili) quarterbacking this team and getting the offense to flow thru them. Get the team to WIN like a team AND they will perform like a team.

We can only hope Hamilton is more than just a scorer. I've heard that Floyd may put him at point, but I don't know how good a passer and leader he is... all I've heard is how he can fill the basket from anywhere on the court, which is something we're sorely lacking. We need a go-to guy who can step up and hit the clutch shots when we're struggling, but I agree, Realm... we desperately need a floor general to keep all the talent working as a team. Don't know if we have someone to fit that description or not.
