Winning at Colorado St would be big. A loss pretty much confirms that UTEP can't beat anybody good away from home. 8PM on CBS Sports Network.

I'm concerned that this team isn't there yet.
We have not been a good rebounding team this year AND we don't seem to have a consistent offensive threat.
Bo, Washburn and Lang have to assert themselves and take away Colorado St rebounding strength.
I agree with MinerMan, the training wheels are OFF. If they can't do it tonight then I think that is a BAD omen for any hope we have of making a dent in Cusa.
I think CSU manhandles Utep by taking away Utep's 3 point threat and daring Utep to take it to the rim. Utep's rebounding woes will continue....
CSU 68 - Utep 60

Been right so far Realm. Miners rebounding has been awful. Not looking very promising.

Painful game to watch. After trailing the entire night, we actually (once again) have a couple of chances to hit a big shot and very possibly win the game... and take two terrible shots. I'm not sure whether to look at this latest close loss as a positive, since we were able to overcome poor shooting and a total lack of defensive rebounding and actually had a chance to win the game, or as a negative that we got ourselves in that situation with the shooting and rebounding woes that seem to have plagued us all year.
I do feel that this killer schedule at the beginning will help us once conference play starts, though. I hope we can mature enough that these two or three point losses turn into wins against CUSA teams that are slightly (or significantly) below the level of the teams we've been losing to recently.

Hope you're right BO. A .500 or worse record in CUSA will be a complete failure. We want improvement and wins.
