Saw a post on another board the other day and just wanted to write/rant about it. The subject was Mike Price and one poster chimed in that he wasn't going to buy tickets this year because of the last 6 losing seasons. Then another called him a non-fan because he wasn't buying tickets and he's not supporting the program.
My question is, why should he? The so-called "good" fan is upset that another fan is not spending their money on UTEP football. Just because you buy tickets to every game, it doesnt make you a better fan nor does it make your opinion worth more.
UTEP football is a business and its still around because it makes money for the university. I would venture to say all the fans that support the program and bitch about others not buying tickets, dont practice what they preach.
There is no way that any person would go to the same restautant 7 straight times if they had bad service/food the previous 6. They would rightfully take their business elsewhere. Same goes for rude or bad service at places like Best Buy, Sears etc. Why is buying UTEP tickets any different? I applaud those for supporting the program no matter what, but you are in the minority and continuing to support Mike Price is not helping.
