2012 Football Predictions

I know the season is still a little ways away still but I thought we could make our predictions for the upcoming season. Here are my predictions:

I think the 1st quarter will be close. After that, let the ass whoopin begin.

I think this game is competitive throughout, but Ole Miss wakes up in the end

09/15/12 New Mexico State Aggies W 42-14
If we don't beat them at home, we are in for a long season

We will be destroyed in Big Ten Country

They get their revenge from last year

I think we beat SMU at home.

We don't have a good record at Tulsa....or anywhere on the road.

We should beat Tulane evry time we play them.

I see us going 5-7 with no bowl game again. Thats the end for CMP. I would like to hear y'alls thoughts and predictions

Awesome. I would like to see others input on this interesting schedule we have. Personally I like the schedule because it will bring a huge crowd to the OU game. But I think the win column will unfortunately suffer.

Ok, here's what I think will go down.

vs. Oklahoma - Honestly, there is ZERO chance that the Miners win this game. Going with a big L here.

MM Prediction: OU 77 - UTEP 13

@ Mississippi - I have seen some Miner sites predict a win here, not sure what they are smoking. UTEP can't beat anybody good on the road, not that Ole Miss is, but they're an SEC team.

MM Prediction: Ole Miss 42 - UTEP 14

vs. New Mexico State - This is a must win game and the outcome will be determined by how injured and demoralized the team is after 2 big ass kickings. I could see NMSU winning and if they do, might as well fire Price right after the game. Going with my gut though.

MM Prediction: UTEP 31 NMSU 24

@ Wisconsin - Again, UTEP with ZERO chance to win or stay close. Montee Ball will come close to breaking LT's single game rush record this day.

MM Prediction: Wisconsin 63 UTEP 7

@ *East Carolina - Well, here we are at 1-3 and opening CUSA play on the road against a pretty good team.

MM Prediction: East Carolina 38 UTEP 20

vs. *Southern Methodist - SMU is a good team and headed to the Big East, Miners keep it close, but do not have enough to beat the Ponies.

MM Prediction: SMU 34 UTEP 28

@ *Tulsa - Another road contest, against a historically strong Tulsa team. Blowout city.

MM Prediction: Tulsa 56 UTEP 21

vs. *Tulane - Season is pretty much over at this point and Tulane is awful, still able to beat us sometimes. Miners find a way to win.

MM Prediction: UTEP 32 Tulane 17

@ *Houston - Houston should be rebuilding this year, but UTEP has been rebuilding for the last 6. They're still better and its on the road.

MM Prediction: Houston 35 UTEP 20

vs. *Central Florida - Don't know much about this UCF team, just that they will be better than the Miners.

MM Prediction: UCF 21 UTEP 17

@ *Southern Mississippi - Late season, road game against a good team? Loss.

MM Prediciton: USM 42 UTEP 24

vs. *Rice - Will Price get fake arrested this week, assuming he's still around? Think the Miners can pull it out on a hail mary.

MM Prediction: UTEP 35 Rice 34

An embarrasing 3-9 season to end Price's once promising UTEP career. I truly believe it will be this bad. Key to season is the NMSU game. Loss that game and it will be worse!

I'm gonna wedge my prediction between both of yours (...... um, I didn't realize how dirty that sounded until I typed it) and go with a final record of 4-8.

The losses to the big time schools are iron-clad guarantees, and the better C-USA teams will make us their bitches once again. I think we'll find a way to win the ones we're supposed to, though, and beat SMU, Tulane, Rice, and nmsu.

The question is, who the hell would want to take over as our coach next year??

I think UTEP could get a pretty good coach next year. A young assistant would be the way I go, unless Andy Reid is available.

Hate to say I told you so, but I told you so. UTEP is 1-6 with Tulane next Saturday. Hopefully Price and his crappy sons will be fired before then. I could see us losing to Tulane, but they're awful. Miners should win by a touchdown.

3-9, just like I thought. Stull needs to be fired, NOW!! Can't believe he wants to wait till Christmas to hire a coach. Arkansas said they would hire a coach in 10 days.
