Oh, joy! A blowout home loss to open the season! That should get the Miner faithful to the stadium in record numbers!

How do you turn down Oklahoma though? That is 52K right there. That will also a few hundred season ticket sales as well. We already told Stull we don't want FCS cupcakes. At this point, I don't think a MAC, WAC, or SB team is what we need to spark attendance. This is a great idea in my opinion. Yup, the Miners are going to get waxed against OK, Wisconsin, and Ole Miss. Would replacing OK with a cupcake really salvage attendance after OOC games?

This is both a good and bad scenario. This will increase season ticket sales a lot. Fans of big-time programs will buy season tickets at smaller schools in order to secure their seats to see their team. OU will be no different. This game will be a sell-out for sure, and it will inflate the number of fans at the later games too.
You don't turn down this opportunity. Even if you are setting you team up for a likely 3rd non-conference loss. This team is going to suck anyway. If UTEP wants to send CMP out a loser, that is fine with me. This season is a waste anyway.
UTEP should try and sign a home and home with them in basketball too. We might actually have a shot at winning. I am tired of seeing FCS teams on the schedule and all the MAC, WAC, and SBC teams have games on 9/1, so this is definitely better for the fans.
