No more UTEP for me as long as Price is still our coach. Bob Stull is a dumbass for keeping him and I will not support anything UTEP until Price is gone. You guys can continue to post here, but I will not be monitoring or visiting. Thank you guys for your support, but this is the last straw. I am tired of losing and tired of people accepting mediocrity. Fuck You Bob Stull!

Like the others... I hope MinerMan reconsiders and comes back to the board. He's definitely been the Heart and Soul of the board.
But if he doesn't... its been a WILD ride and I understand principles are involved here.
I have to admit... part of me wants to do the same. I'm definitely NOT the prolific poster I once was.
I've been posting for 9 years and I just feel like it is time to do something else.
I'll keep revisiting the board though... how much posting is uncertain.

Well this sucks... I've only been on this board for about a year, but it has been the best source of UTEP news and discussion I've had in a long time.
I understand your frustrations and respect your wishes, but I'd like to ask you both to reconsider; if not, then it's been a pleasure chatting with you.
I sincerely hope to continue our discussions...

I had some time to cool down about what I said. I was really upset when I heard the news. I still can't believe the attitudes of some people and especially Bob Stull and Dr. Nat.
I'm not going to let Stull, Price, & Nat ruin my enjoyment of UTEP basketball. However, come football time, I will be more negative. I don't believe the team will be any good next year and they will be lucky to be 6-6.
I know that they will be chickenshits and schedule an FCS team for that 4th non-conference game. That makes me sick. They can schedule Idaho, Eastern Michigan, Florida Atlantic and similar "crap" schools, but they are pussies. I can't wait for 2013 so I can become a UTEP football fan again.

I'm glad you reconsidered, MinerMan. You make this board what it is. Let's focus on the basketball program for now, since Lord knows they're gonna be extrememly discussable (is that a word?) until they get more experience and can really compete. As for the football fiasco, all we can do is hold out hope that some coach becomes available in the near future that will make Stull reconsider keeping Price. I think his hands are kind of tied by Natalicio (does that name translate into English as "I Hate Collegiate Sports"?) because she really doesn't care how badly the team performs as long as the fans still keep buying the bullshit they shovel every year about being better than last season. If a really good coaching candidate can be presented to her, maybe she will authorize a change. We can only hope. In the meantime, if Realm is still aboard, this will still be one of the best sources of UTEP prognostication on the interweb. Looking forward to continuing the dialogue!!  |
