Moultrie made his debut last night for Mississippi St in their win over Eastern Kentucky. Had 13 points and 10 rebounds. Too bad he's not on our team anymore.

I hate to wish ill will on anyone, especially a former Miner, but it kills me to see him kick ass for someone else. Especially if he goes pro like everyone says he will. I can't forgive him for bailing on us for absolutely no good reason (unless something happened that the public will never know). Word was, he didn't get along with Floyd; that, to me, suggests he was too damn lazy to do what Floyd demanded of him in order to improve, and after his horrendous sophomore season, he had a lot of growing up to do. If his goal is to go pro, why the hell wouldn't he have wanted to learn from a former NBA coach?? Stupid decision on his part, and we're worse off for it.
I still grind my teeth when I think of last year's team with Moultrie still here (and Caracter-- imagine it!!) and Floyd at the controls... Final Four, baby....

He lost his junior year due to the transfer, correct? So he is a senior now? If so, I don't see him making it to the NBA.

The only times a player loses a year is when they transfer during the season or if the previous school doesn't release him from his scholarship. Neither of which were the case with Moultrie.

Arnett Moultrie was 2-13 from the field in Mississippi State's loss to Akron.

Awesome. Screw him. I'll take Cedric Lang's heart and grit over Moultrie's half-assed talent any night.

On the flip side, against Arizona Moultrie had 19 points and 10 boards and was named player of the game, lol.
I don't mind that we lost THAT Moultrie. I do mind the "WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN with Moultrie playing in his second year under Coach Floyd.
