We've done a lot of talking on this board about keeping Lamaison out of this meaningless game... and play him when it counts.

But what about the other players on the team who stand to get beaten up or hurt??

When you're overmatched and know it... even though you're doing it for the money... it can't be good for your chances of continued success.

I'm sorry this game couldn't be more competitive... sucks to be a Miner fan.

All things considered not too bad of a halftime score. Hopefully they will improve in the 2nd half.

Utep didn't embarass themselves on national TV. Gotta give it to Carson too. Played with a LOT of composure.

It got away from us in the end... but they were no more concerned about us than they would be playing their scout team.

They caught on to all the gimmick plays and shut everything down.

Still... we may have shot ourselves in the foot by going all out with South Florida... and having to take on Houston this Thursday.

Houston beat Georgia State 56-0. I have no idea how good GSU is, but that's an ass kicking. I'm not looking forward to next week.

I agree. See Houston takes care of FCS teams. We had to go to OT to beat ours. Trip to Florida plus short week plus Houston equals dont like our chances.

Houston is the better team. No doubt. But all FCS schools are not equal and all don't play the same from week to week. Comparing what Houston did to Georgia State has literally nothing to do with what UTEP did with Stony Brook. Heck, I think Stony Brook would probably beat Memphis and a couple of MWC.

Stony Brook is 1-3. They lost to Brown and got destroyed by Buffalo. They suck.
