Jarion Henry, a 6'8" 195 lb. forward (or 6'9" 205, depending on which website you look at) from Dallas, TX has chosen New Mexico over UTEP.
I mentioned in an earlier post that Floyd had been going after this guy hardcore, and lost the recruiting battle yesterday. He's listed as a 3-star recruit by most major websites, and supposedly has tremendous upside but lacks maturity and has discipline issues.
I'm on the fence about this one; on one hand, he seems to be a very talented player with lots of potential, but apparently he thinks he's already the shit. According to Duke Keith of KLAQ/KROD, he posted a video on YouTube proclaiming himself a "one and done" college player who will bolt for the NBA after his freshman year, and in the same video invited any attractive young black women (he specified black, snubbing any potential groupies of other ethnicities) to come and get some before he's too famous to sleep with them anymore. (Strangely, I couldn't locate the video, but they played a censored audio clip on the radio so it's out there.)
Overall, he sounds like an ass. I wish him well at New Mex-- wait a minute.... no I don't. Crash and burn, buddy.
