....UTEP is 24-40 (.375) I don't know of any occupation where producing 38% of time is acceptable, well maybe baseball. 5 straight losing seasons and the athletic department refuses to make a change. Why? Look at the what we have had to put up with the last 5+ seasons.
2010: 1 win vs a team with a winning record. 4 losses vs teams with losing records.
2009: 2 wins vs teams with a winning record. 6 losses vs teams with losing records.
2008: 1 win vs a team with a winning record. 1 loss vs a team with a losing record.
2007: 2 wins vs teams with a winning record. 3 losses vs teams with losing records.
2006: 0 wins vs teams with a winning record. 3 losses vs teams with losing records.
Last 3 games of 2005: 0 wins vs teams with a winning record. 2 losses vs teams with losing records.
So during this time frame, UTEP has 6 wins versus teams with winning records and 19 losses versus teams with losing records. 5 out of the 6 wins are at home. What do these stats tell you? UTEP rarely beats anybody good and when they do, its not on the road. UTEP also loses to teams that are horrible.
6 wins vs teams with winning records, 4 FCS schools, and 14 wins versus teams with losing records.
Look at our road wins during the timeframe:
2010: @ UNM
2009: @ NMSU
2008: @ USM & @ La-Lafayette
2007: @ SMU
2006: @ SDSU & @ UAB
Not to mention, ZERO wins versus BCS teams. Only 1 Top 25 win, which was over Houston at the Sun Bowl. ZERO Division titles, ZERO Bowl Wins, and mostly importantly, ZERO hope for the future under Mike Price.
The time is now, make a change.
