Who really wants to see this team/coach play in a bowl game? If UTEP gets that elusive 6th win, its pretty much guaranteed of going to a bowl game. While the players and school do benefit from the extra practice time and exposure, we all know the UTEP would get their ass kicked by the Sun Belt Champion in the New Orleans Bowl. If we happened to go and play a BCS conference team, it would be just as bad.
If UTEP loses to Marshall this Saturday, Price should resign when he lands in El Paso. UTEP could try and salvage a send-off vs SMU the following week. Say UTEP loses to Marshall and Price is still coaching, who is going to show up to the Sun Bowl? SMU is only 4-4, nothing special. I hope season ticket holders boycott. UTEP already has their money. If you are not a season ticket holder, go to the game if you want to see bad coaching, stupid penalties, and a Miner loss.
