Yeah... Realm couldn't help himself. I was seeing way too much made of the fact that we're 5 and 1.
In years past, it would be said "we're a better team than our record indicates". This year, I think the opposite might be said.
I wished you had passed the link that quoted Sam McGuffie because I thought Utep handled Rice in every facet of the game.
Kinda surprised to see my post still hanging around DIGS and NOT deleted. I guess Eddie must be on vacation.
I can also see that my detractors haven't forgotten me. 
I'll be vacationing in Mexico starting tomorrow so I won't be able to watch the UAB game... I haven't had a chance to watch the Blazers at all this year so I can't comment on them. But I suspect... UAB will come out and play a very physical game with Utep. That template has worked for them in the past with a lot of success.
I agree with shy that UAB will be a good test for the Miners.
We'll see when I come back home next week.
