They've survived a lot of injuries from last week's game with New Mexico.
And still they handled Rice with ease.
This surprised me... and got my attention.
On offense, we got to see Vittatoe break Palmer's records with Touchdowns & Total Passing Yardage.
Our Defense was tough as nails as well... with some really good hits during the game.
And yet despite all this... ONLY 28,955 for the Homecoming game. This gives us a Sun Bowl average of 31,990/game.
Hmmmm... me and my fellow Realists will have to ruminate on this point.

Disappointing crowd. No other word to describe it. There is a disconnect between El Paso and UTEP football right now. It even seems like the student section was larger and louder than recent years.

it's pathetic, now 28k is not bad, but for a team that is now 5-1 and does not quit like the last few have... thats bad! It should have easily been 40k for homecoming... It almost pointless to understand why the low attendance, we can all think of many reasons... If they can go to UAB and win, the will be bowl eligble at 6-1 and looking pretty. I think it's gonna be a ECU vs SMU title match for CUSA...UTEP I figure will be 7-5 or possibly 8-4 if they can beat UAB.
