09/18/10 vs. New Mexico State..... W 42-10 Attendance: 39,214
09/25/10 vs. Memphis.................. W 16-13 Attendance: 29,765
By my calculations... that breaks down to an average of 33K a game. Cause for concern??

True football fans know that the teams coming to the Sun Bowl suck and are not worth paying money to see. CMP and some fans can talk about their 3-1 record and how great it is. I'll say that UAPB, NMSU, and Memphis are 3 horrible teams, we should beat them. I'm predicting a loss vs the Lobos this Saturday. |

33k is better than most of CUSA, most of the WAC and most of the MWC. Continue to find fault in the program... what's next, UTEP needs to paint the restrooms? You wouldn't know, because YOU real football fans know better than to support UTEP against lowly Memphis.

The WAC and MWC have 2 ranked teams each! CUSA has ZERO and are unlikely to get ranked again. 80% of the country could beat UAPB, NMSU, and Memphis and all 3 games were at home. This team hasn't done anything special, they're simply doing what they're supposed to be doing. Why would anyone be impressed by our wins so far? UTEP should have beat UAPB by 70, NMSU by 42, and Memphis by 35. UTEP has a LONG way to go towards respectability. |

tell that to powerhouse VT and Kansas about beating a FCS team by 70, seriously? haha that's a laugh, college sports is changing and FCS teams aren't as bad as they once were.

If Price sticks around, get used to one FCS team, NMSU, UNM, and one powerhouse every season. That is simply the way it is going to be. I am okay with that but I could do without an FCS team. Maybe a cupcake or down on their luck team from the MWC, WAC, or MAC? Even though we lost twice, I think a team like Buffalo was a good choice.

Why can't UTEP schedule Duke, Iowa St, Baylor, Arizona or Arizona St??? Scheduling FCS schools is pathetic. I have no problem with it early in a coaches tenure, but UTEP should be scheduling teams similar in rank to themselves. Hawai'i, Utah St, and now BYU should be brought into the Sun Bowl and have UTEP play them. I think we should play UNM 8 out of 10 years and in those other two years try and get a big BCS team to the Sun Bowl. |

Average Sun Bowl Attendance: 30,602
If the last home game vs SMU attracts less than 27K... then for the 2nd straight year Utep will pull less than 30K in attendance.
Another nail in Price's coffin ??
