It tells me there is a LOT wrong with Miner Football...
Where do I begin ??
Fundamentally, we don't have enough D-1 quality players on the team to sustain us through the schedule. There is quite a drop off between the first string and 2nd string.
With every game we play, the attrition due to injuries & frustration will take its toll and guarantee Utep another losing season.
5 - 7... is looking like an accurate assessment of our team.
Realm awaits the spin on this game from the cheerleaders.

This was likely the 2nd toughest team UTEP will face this season... The offense will be fin against NMSU, UNM, Memphis, UAB... Rice. 6-6 or 7-5 if were lucky. I agree though, something is wrong, this keeps happening. Needed to stop the run, and the O-line didn't look veteran. I thought TV did ok, and Adams.

You don't think that UTEP should be competing for the West Division title at least? UTEP got their ass fucking kicked against the Top team and its the same reasons/mistakes as the last 5 years. How pathetic are most fans when a 6-6/7-5 record against this shitty schedule is some form of accomplishment and acceptable? Mike Price is done and even though we should win our next 3 games, we won't. Even if we do, we'll be the worst 4-1 team in the nation and have beaten no quality opponents. UTEP football sucks! |

2. Yep, Coach Price shouldn't be rebuilding in his 7th year.
3. Yep, I would be ecstatic if the Miners finish 7-5 and go to a mediocre.

I think we all share in the frustration that is Utep football.
Consistently, we see good things AND bad things from a Coach Price coached team.
I do believe that Utep is a Gold Mine waiting to be discovered and to accomplish that... I follow the REALIST view of how that change must happen.
The BAD has gotten old and we need new blood at the coaching helm. Someone who can inspire D-1 quality football players to come to Utep. Someone who can get his players to run through walls for him.
Basically, Utep needs a football version of Billy Gillispie here at Utep to set things right.
This is simply a marriage that started off great... but went bad after that.

Realm was MAD that Barbie was our basketball coach for 4 long years... now I'm happy he has moved on... and I'm very happy with the Coach Floyd hire.
Color me MAD if you like shy... BUT I and thousands like me are tired of the product that Price is putting on the field.
It may be sacrilegious to say this about an icon BUT... Fire Price NOW !!

Realm... I agree. That's the thing that the stupid cheerleaders don't get. We don't want to be "mad" or "angry", we are just tired of the shit we see on the field. This is one of the few schools that will tolerate 4 straight losing seasons and still have fans making excuses for our inept coach. I can't speak for Realm or anybody else, but I want the Miners to win a big game and then do something with it. It's not going to happen with this coach or one of his sons. |

I can understand being mad that Price is still the coach, but at the same time, you bitch about CUSA, and everything to do with the Miners. So, dont go around saying it's just price, because you BITCH at everything... Just come out and say what you really are? someone who just likes to complain about everything, you probably say "Jesus Christ" could of done more miracles.

be realistic...I have watched miner football since 1966 (dobbs) and I announced for 22 yeaRS IN THE SUN BOWL PRESS BOX...UNDER PRICE WE DON'T IMPROVE...HE NEEDS TO UNFOLD HIS ARMS ON THE SIDELINE AND RETIRE WITH ALL THE MOOLAH FROM SPORTS ILLUTRATED

I don't think it is that hard to be a realist and a cheerleader. I understand the points being made. I agree with a lot of the. UTEP is still my team. I'll attend every home game and cheer at every game. I want improvement as much as anyone here. They don't necessarily contradict each other.
