www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/story/13281267/future-of-ncaa-football-five-super-conferences?tag=coverlist_active;coverlist_footerProbably one of the most unrealistic things I have ever seen. UTEP in the Big 12. According to this writer, the Big 12 South would have: UTEP, UNM, TCU, SMU, Houston, Rice, Tulsa, and Tulane!!! Meanwhile the Big 12 North would have: Texas Tech, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas St, Colorado, Colorado St, Nebraska, and Iowa St. This is because the SEC took Texas, A&M, OU, and OSU! Why would the remaining 7 schools (Mizzou bolted to Big 10), add us and the others to their conference? They could still be a BCS conference with their current lineup. Why add schools that bring nothing to the table?

Is there a minimum a conference has to have to retain BCS status? Also, I know conference championship games mean $$$ for the conference. So they need 12 for that. Still, only in my dreams would UTEP get invited to the Big 12. I would love to be wrong.
