Don't know if any of you heard about this... evening news last night ran a story on John Bohannon posting an anti-gay "tweet" on his twitter account. (Raise your hand if you think the whole twitter thing is freakin' STUPID anyway...)
It seems Bo was quoting lyrics to some rap song, but instead of saying "It seems these days it's cool to be gay," his tweet was, "it's NOT cool to be gay." Harmless, in my opinion, but in our present overly-PC society you can't be anything but pro-homosexual or you get crucified. (I also noticed that nobody seemed to have a problem with his repeated use of the "N word"... as if that's any better.)
Long story short, he removed the post and apologized, but the damage was done. I'm neither condoning nor vilifying his actions, but that's all we need... another instance of his penchant for open mouth/insert foot. I'm worried he won't be at UTEP much longer if he doesn't grow the f**k up.
