Price, Stull say coach will be back Coach Mike Price said he plans on returning for the 2011 season and athletic director Bob Stull indicated he will have that choice. Price is leaving Friday for a recruiting trip.
"Definitely, if you'll have me," he said when asked if he would be on the sidelines next year. --E.P. Times

That is truly sad. I guess Stull doesn't mind seeing his ticket sales plummet again. Less revenue + same mediocre football team = happiness? Stull is an idiot if he brings back CMP.

I'm not saying I want Price gone but can UTEP afford to fire him? Literally, with the way his contract is set up, can they afford to fire him?

I doubt they can afford to fire him, but I'm sure Stull would give him the opportunity to resign/retire/whatever. Trust me, no matter what UTEP does in a bowl game will not help the athletic department make more money next year. The fans have given up on Mike Price football.

The thing is, Price doesn't need Stull's approval to resign/retire. He can do that whenever he wants. It is strictly an issue of whether or not Stull would ever fire him. I don't see that ever happening.
