Here is to hoping the hot streak continues and we see another Miner victory tonight. Go Miners. True that. The Miners can't afford to lose at home tonight. Tulsa owns UTEP historically, I think the crowd will put the Miners over the top tonight. Thanks for joining, hope you'll continue to stop by.

Here is to hoping the hot streak continues and we see another Miner victory tonight. Go Miners. Tonight will be the game that Realm has been pointing to since the beginning of the season.
Who are the players... and who are the pretenders... tonight will go a long way to answering that questions.
Tonight's game will be played at Utep... a traditionally tough place for any opposing team to play. If Tulsa's Jordan can keep out of foul trouble... then I expect them to dictate the pace of the game.
So far... Utep has dictated the pace to other teams...
Who will win will depend on who can dictate the pace... If Tulsa can force Utep into a slow-down pace... then Realm points to Tulsa as the winner...
If not, then I expect Utep's 6th man(a packed house of Miner fans) to provide the will to win..
C-ya after the game.
Nice to see ya MistaBinks... can you go into your profile and play with the width/height of your avatar so it is more easily seen. I think it is Hilarious but I have a hard time making it out.

Great win for the Miners. Everything seem to click. The usual suspects played great but I was really impressed with our bench. Where has this version of Claude been?

Great win for the Miners. Everything seem to click. The usual suspects played great but I was really impressed with our bench. Where has this version of Claude been? Don't get me wrong... this was a GREAT win.... BUT....
They went from a tied half-time to the Miners just pulling away at half-time. The contrarian in me noticed the Miners were keeping Tulsa away from attacking the paint:
1) excessive hand-checking to prevent movement towards the basket. I never saw it being called by the officials.
2) getting Tulsa's 7' Jordan into foul trouble so that 6' 10" Idlet had to take over --- and he was too skinny and too gawky to establish any kind of presence on the offensive/defensive side.
When the officials let the boys play... it usually benefits the home team. That's what I saw here.
Will be interesting to see what type of return game we see in Tulsa... And what kind of officiating can we expect to see. Then what will happen when Tulsa hosts the Cusa tournament.

Regarding foul trouble, the same thing can be said of DC. He has had to sit out quite a few minutes of many first halves because of foul trouble. That is just the way it goes. It is how the other team capitalizes on the opportunity.
