Lousy game tonight against a UAB squad that is much better than their 8-13 (now 9-13) record would suggest.

Couldn't get a damn rebound to save our lives, kept doubling on defense and leaving guys wide open for three pointers (especially #44, who averages 11 points a game but hit like 6 of 8 from three to finish with 21). Just not enough hustle and desire, it seemed to me... Still, having played quite unimpressively all night, we still had the ball at the end, down 1 point with ten seconds left.

And Michael Perez misses a WIDE FUCKING OPEN three pointer as the buzzer sounds.

That's just the way this season is destined to go, apparently. We can't seem to hit a game-winning shot, and our opponents always seem to hit them. If you can't be good, it's better to be lucky, and so far we certainly aren't.

Next season can't get here fast enough.

You know, Im beginning to think Tim Floyd isnt that great of a coach. The Memphis and UNM losses from last season REALLY bother me and the close losses lately have me wondering.

I can't comment on either of those games last year since I didn't see either one (I was in Las Vegas). As for the job he's done this year, it's been solid; I think it's just been a lack of execution on the part of the team. I've seen the coaching staff make good adjustments both mid-game and at the half, but we just can't seem to close things out. Turnovers and a lack of aggressiveness on the boards have killed us in all of these close games.

As we've discussed before, I blame our youth and lack of depth inside (due to injuries and foul trouble) for most of the losses.

I'm very frustrated with the last four games, but then I wasn't expecting much at the beginning of the year. I still have all the confidence in the world that Tim can turn things around next year, when we bring in more talent and have a year of experience behind us.

Except for Randy, none of our seniors gave a shit about the UNM game. They had their degrees, they weren't in the NCAA Tourny, they didn't care.

I think the Miners will lose tonight and cement in a losing season and no post season for the first time since the 06-07 season.
