I like the fact that our path seemingly got easier, but that sucks for the conference. UAB and Southern Miss's bubbles may have burst with the first round exit, leaving Memphis as the only media darling with a chance for an at-large. If things keep going like this, we're guaranteed to only get the tournament winner into the dance.
On another note, Rice blew a big chance to upset Tulsa in the late game. Down four points with about 2 minutes left, they got a stop and a rebound, and then a Rice guy missed a layup and Tulsa came down and converted a 3-point play. Game over. I'd sure rather play Rice tomorrow than Tulsa....
Oh, one last note... Rice has another arabic guy besides Kazemi. He's a 7'2" FRESHMAN from Egypt who looks like he could turn into a pretty good player (oh crap). He's on the All-Ugly first team (rocking a major unibrow and looks like a giant, demonic version of Bert from Sesame Street). Looks aside, though, that could be a pretty scary duo in the next couple of years.

UAB should be in, wish they would have won today, but they didn't and will have to sweat it out like we did last year. CUSA should get 2 bids, but I could see them only getting one. If UTEP would have beat UCF and ECU, we would be in the tournament now. I just hope this team doesn't choke it.
