Honestly, I think we would have swept CUSA. 16-0. OOC, I am not so sure. We would have had the same growing pains trying to learn Coach Floyd's system. Would wins over GT and BYU have propelled this same schedule to the top 10? I don't know. DC and (to a far lessor extent) Moultrie would have made this team a lot stronger. The schedule would have been the same though. I'd say we be in the top 25.

If we had DC and AM and they bought into Floyds system, we would definitely been a Top 10 team. Only the BYU game might have still been a loss.

But with Character & Moultrie we would have been a team that could "Bring It" in so many different ways. Teams would find their match-ups problematical... Good theoretical question strelz... If not top 10... Then very close to it.

What wins from this year's schedule would have gotten us top 10 respect? With DC, we might have been 11-0 going into the BYU game. Would wins over Pacific, GT, and Mich gotten us a lot of attention at that point? I am not sure either way.
Now that I look at it that way, I think we could have easily been 29-1 or 28-2 at this point. Looking over our whole schedule this year, I still think that would make us Top 20'ish. Honestly, and this is sick, with DC and a motivated Moultrie, 30-0 isn't impossible or unthinkable. Wow! What could have been.

I agree with binks... if only Moultrie had stayed, my guess is we'd have about two or three more wins and be top 25. If BOTH had stayed, we would definitely have close to 30 wins right now, be undefeated in conference, and probably be top 20 (but our "strength of schedule" that the experts gush over all the time may have kept us out of the top 10).
My buddies and I literally AGONIZE over the "what if" scenario at every game. It almost makes me want to cry when I fantasize about last year's team with this year's coaching staff. We'd have been Final Four, absolutely no doubt in my mind.
On that note, I'm still pissed at Moultrie for bailing on us, and would love to get the inside scoop as to why it happened.
Great discussion question, Strelz!

Another interesting "what if" is this one: How much better would we be right now if Rashanti Harris and Michael Haynes had been eligible? Our lack of an inside force is our glaring weakness, and Harris would have nicely replaced DC....
