Beating ECU? Probable. Beating ECU and an officiating crew suffering from PMS (pissed-off man syndrome)? Well... apparently not.
I cannot comment too much, being as I neither saw nor heard the game when the chaos went down. But from what I've seen, that ref was just looking for an excuse to let us have it, and Floyd did just enough to provoke him.
I really can't say any more than that, because on one hand it won't change the fact that our hopes of a top 4 finish are perilously close to being over, and on the other, if I get on my soapbox about this I'll write about twenty pages.
I saw the video of the ejections, and can't make an educated observation without knowing exactly what was being said. The security guard was a nice touch, though. What a drama queen that ref had to be to believe he was in grave danger and needed a big man with a gun to grab Floyd... that brave soul probably saved that official's life *rolling of the eyes*. The techs on Phil Johnson? Bullshit. Pure bullshit. That was just salt on the wound.
Bottom line... 45 free throws for the home team, including 10 technicals. Come on.....
(BTW... just heard that the league office has, in their benevolence, decided not to suspend Coach Floyd for the Memphis game Saturday. Not one word about any discipline for the official who bitched out and caused this fiasco... more to follow, I hope....)

Bleed mentioned he thought the wheels seemed to be coming off the Miner Bus.
MinerMan reminded us that ECU is a dangerous team and should NOT be overlooked with Memphis on the horizon.
I was dumbfounded that we lost ECU because they have never impressed me when I saw the team play.
I'm not sure what to think any longer.
