Let's hope. I initially thought having the Houston game so early in the season was really bad for us. Then I realized we are playing Arkansas in November. So either way, we were going to have a REALLY tough game in week 2. It just happens to be a conference game in this situation. Getting pummeled by Arkansas would probably be worse for the fan base than a competitive loss to Houston. But forget that noise. I want to see the Miners ruin another season for the Coogs!!!

UTEP and Houston have been really close games, and competitive. No reason to say this one wont be. A win would be awesome and bring a huge crowd for the battle of I-10

I have the Miners going 5-7... but I will always "EXPECT" a win whenever we schedule a D-1 opponent.
This game told me almost nothing about the Miners.
The Houston game will tell me a lot more.

8-4 and throw in a bowl win while you are it. While only the second week of play, this game is so important. We have to play knowing we have Arkansas in November. Got to get wins early in the season.
