Would we even consider Rashanti if we still had Caracter and Arnette Moultrie(rumor is he is gone too)??
Coach Floyd may be doing this risky deal because Utep's basketball status quo has taken a dump... and he knows it.
Rashanti Harris is Good News / Bad News in my mind.
The rumor is this is the type of Package Deal that I was speaking about a couple of posts ago. Rashanti Harris + Georgia State assistant William Small.
What bothers me is that a lot of Major programs stayed away because Rashanti was seriously deficient academic wise. Geogia State took him but had to release him because, ultimately, he couldn't qualify there either.
Now, Utep gets him??
Realm is concerned that this is the kind of kid that will bring the NCAA sniffing at our door...
I realize this kid could work out just like Stefon Jackson did...
BUT...
This kid sounds like an academic project and we're ONLY taking him because Coach Floyd knows we're doing "BIG MAN" damage control.

It's no surprise that he could "qualify" at UTEP. UTEP has no admission standards and will let anybody enroll that has a HS diploma from the US or Mexico. Hopefully UTEP will hire some good students to do his work for him.

These two recruits are just what the Miners needed, I think AM will be back next season. I like the team coming in, and I think they can take care of Memphis even with their #1 recruiting class... it's the football team I am worried about, im getting excited for football, but it hasnt been too pretty the last few seasons. ok 4
