UTEP is only mentioned at the end. Mostly discusses Ben Howland. Who gives an interview about another coach, while still in season? Shouldnt he be focusing on winning the CUSA tournament or recruiting?

I think you are reaching at straws. Coaches are constantly granting interviews. Coach Floyd is a national name. It is a good thing that people in California want to talk to him.
