Up big in the 1st and 2nd halves and they lose in OT to Houston. Losing at Houston sucks for 2 reasons, we should have won and they have no fans! Horrible loss. Rice is gonna beat our ass on Wednesday.

It boggles my mind how a Tim Floyd team can consistently blow big leads late in games to lose. Yeah, I know, we're young and inexperienced, blah blah blah.... No excuse for not putting your foot on their throats and sealing the deal. Judging by their current pattern, the Miners will finish no better than 15-15, assuming we lose all four remaining road games. However, I don't see us winning all five remaining home games, since we have Tulsa and Southern Miss coming to town, so finishing .500 would actually be a very impressive accomplishment. After we lose the opener in the conference tournament, we can all look back at this season and start the argument about how much better we should have been if we could just HOLD A FUCKING LEAD. Sorry to be so negative, but I know this team is better than our 10-11 record. Despite being so young, they have the talent to beat most of the teams they've lost to. It royally sucks to be losing these games in the fashion we are. Yeah, Coach Johnson mentioned that in the post-game. After Gabe and Cedric sat down with five fouls each, we had to switch up our defense, which was less effective and couldn't stop Houston from taking the ball inside (the result of which was the two devastating 3-point plays that erased our lead in a matter of seconds). I spoke out of pure frustration, but the lack of depth inside really is killing us.

You are constructive though. Nothing wrong with calling out a team. A 15 point lead is a 15 point whether you are 13 freshman or 13 seniors. I understand the reason for the collapse but I don't fault anyone who is frustrated with this team.

Tough loss to Rice. UAB is a winnable game, question is, do we have enough to pull it off. At least, its at home.
